Description: All northbound I-5 traffic on the mainline will be diverted to eastbound SR 520 due to construction work happening on the I-5 mainline.
Traffic: Attention northbound I-5 travelers: During the weekend closure for the I-5 Yesler Way to Northgate Pavement Rehabilitation Project, all northbound I-5 mainline traffic will temporarily be diverted to eastbound SR 520 in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 21 (1 a.m. to 3 a.m.) and Monday, June 23 (12:01 a.m. to 2 a.m.) It's important to remember that if drivers do not exit at Montlake Boulevard once diverted they will cross Lake Washington and be subject to the SR 520 bridge toll. Please remain in the right lane once entering eastbound SR 520 so that you can properly exit at Montlake and detour your way back to northbound I-5. This traffic change is not associated with the SR 520 Portage Bay Bridge and Roanoke Lid Project and people with questions should call the I-5 Yesler Way project hotline at 206-440-4350 or email nwpublicaffairs@wsdot.wa.gov.
